Búrið Cheese Named Britain's Best

Búrið’s cheeses walked away smelling like a rose at the 2009 British Cheese Awards (kind of like the Oscars but with more more stink and fewer stars).

One of our favorites Gubbeen—a creamy number with hints of mushroom—was named best Irish cheese.

Another Búrið staple, Quickes Cheddar, was named best cheddar for its creamy, sweet crystalized bite.

We're also very proud of another award-winner, Colston Basset Blue (pictured above), a lovely little stilton stinker.

We hope you come by to wish our winners well and perhaps get a taste of the gold for yourself. We couldn't be prouder of our cheese celebrities. Go team!
